About Phil Valentine

Phil Valentine is a nationally recognized leader in recovery coaching and peer recovery support. As Executive Director of the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) for more than two decades, he helped develop many of the recovery support services and training programs that have shaped the field, including CCAR's widely adopted Recovery Coach Academy.

An author, trainer, and advocate, Phil is sought out nationally for his expertise in recovery coaching, family recovery, peer support services, and recovery community development. In recovery since 1987, he brings both professional expertise and lived experience to his work.
